Moose Charities, Inc. Founded in 1994 and approved for operation
in September of 2000, Moose Charities is a registered 501(c)(3)
charitable corporation.  Moose Charities is the non-profit,
fundraising arm of Moose International with the purpose of:
Providing funding for the capitol needs and operational support of
the fraternity's Mooseheart. Child City & School, and Moosehaven
City of Contentment.
◦Securing funding from Moose members and friends through
periodic direct mail appeals, company matching gift programs,
tribute contributions and other giving opportunities including
planned giving donations such as wills and bequests, charitable gift
annuities, stocks, life insurance, other appreciated securities, real
estate, etc.
◦The soliciting of major gifts and other significant support from
individuals, corporations and foundations.
◦Raising funds through annual giving programs such as the League
of Guardians, Endowment Fund Club, Gimme 5 etc.
◦Special events such as; annual golf tournaments, motorcycle
events, banquets, etc.  vendor sponsored events and partnering
with national cause marketing campaigns and secure added
financial support for Mooseheart's educational programs through

Assistant Chairman for Donors Circle.
Objective:  To work closely with Moose Charities Chairman encouraging individuals to donate to the
Endowment Fund by donating to Moose Charities Donors Circle recognition program.

Objective: To raise money for the chosen Association Project for either Mooseheart or Moosehaven.

Assistant Chairman for Endowment Fund - Larry Salem
Objective:  To assist Fraternal Units (FRUs) with Endowment Fund collections, fundraising programs such as
Cradle Fundraiser and "New" Rocker Fundraiser.  Communication with every FRU to ensure participation in
these and other Endowment Fund collection opportunities.

Assistant Chairman for MHT Scholarship - Bob Bakman
Objective: To oversee Scholarship fundraising. ( Bob and his team did such a great job for our Association a
while back he can rest on his laurels for a while!)

Objective:  To review and share all School Support programs as seen on the Moose

participate in fund raisers and activities as
often as others.  We do appreciate what
you do also.

Moosehaven.  Where would we be without
our members paying their dues every

There are many different kinds of
volunteers.  

There are the working volunteers - these
are the members that plan, work and
participate in fund raisers for the lodge
and chapter.  You see their names often in
the newsletter as we report what's
happened at the lodge.

Then there are the silent volunteers. Even
though we rarely see them, they continue
to pay their dues every year to support
our causes.  Some even give other
donations above and beyond their dues.  
These have gone without the recognition

What is the Donors Circle?  A recognition program designed to recognize
you as an individual supporter when you send a tax-deductible Endowment
Fund donation to Moose Charities.

Why participate in the Donors Circle?  Because the donations go to the
Endowment Fund which is the most import long-term investment you make
in the support of Mooseheart & Moosehaven.  Plus your primary
Lodge/Chapter/Moose Legion will receive credit towards their recognition
goals for your individual donations.  

Who joins the Donors Circle?  
Members like you and me. The Donors Circle is a recognition program for
individuals ONLY.

How should we promote the Donors Circle to our members?  ASK – in
person, in newsletters, on your website.  Ask individuals to make a
difference, in the lives of children in need and senior members of our
fraternity, with a donation that secures the future of the Mooseheart &
Moosehaven.

When each of us joined the Moose fraternity we became members of the
Defending Circle, designed to protect children in need and senior
members of our fraternity.  We promised to give of our substance and this
is your opportunity to take that next step in your membership by becoming a
member of the Donors Circle.  And you are assisting your
Lodge/Chapter/Moose Legion as well as their members to achieve their
goals.

The Donors Circle is a recognition program designed to recognize donors who
send an individual tax-deductible Endowment Fund donation to Moose Charities.
(This program replaces both Gimme 5 and Endowment Fund Club.)

        Individuals may donate online at www.moosecharities.org to participate in the
Donors Circle recognition program, donate at a conference/convention or send a
check to Moose Charities marked “Donors Circle”. This donation goes to the
Endowment Fund.
        Endowment Fund donations are the most important long term investment in
the support of Mooseheart and Moosehaven. When individuals make endowment
fund donations directly to Moose Charities the donation is tax deductible.
        Individuals may join the Donors Circle at any time with a minimum $25
donation and their donations are cumulative over time. As a donor reaches each
level of the Donors Circle recognition program, a pin for that level will be sent from
Moose Charities.
Members’ Primary LODGES/CHAPTERS will receive ‘credit’ for their individual
donations to the Donors Circle.
        Fraternal Units may collect money from individuals at meetings or
conferences for the Donors Circle and remit to Moose Charities using the Donors
Circle gift receipts for each individual. Send to: Moose Charities,155 S.

        Fraternal Units are encouraged to promote the Donors Circle program at
every opportunity.  Please ask your newsletter editors to include a Donors Circle
ad in your newsletters and on your websites.
        Donors Circle Chairmen and Endowment Fund Chairmen will continue with
their respective areas, however, the Donors Circle summary will be combined with
the Endowment Fund report for recognition.
        Regional Managers will have access to both reports and the Fraternal Units
will continue to receive the quarterly statements from Moose Charities.
        Individual members who participate in the Donors Circle Endowment Fund
program will be listed with their primary Lodge/Chapter ONLY. (Individual donations
will not be public information)
